What is this all about?

The Privacy Policy meets legal requirements for transparency when processing personal data. Personal data is all information that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, information such as your name, age, address, telephone number, date of birth, email address, IP address or user behaviour when visiting a website. Information with which we cannot (or only with disproportionate effort) make any connection to you as a person, e.g. through anonymisation, is not personal data. Processing personal data (e.g. collecting, querying, using, storing or transmitting) always requires a legal basis and a defined purpose.

Stored personal data will be erased as soon as the purpose of processing has been reached and there are no legal grounds for further storage of the data. We will inform you of the concrete storage periods or storage criteria for individual processing procedures. Regardless of this, we will store your personal data in individual cases to assert, exercise or defend legal claims and if any statutory retention obligations apply.

Who will receive my data?

We will only pass your personal data that we process on our website to third parties if this is necessary to fulfil our purposes and, in individual cases, is covered by the legal basis (e.g. consent or to protect legitimate interests). Furthermore, in individual cases we will pass on personal data if this is necessary to assert, exercise or defend legal claims. Possible recipients can then include criminal investigation authorities, lawyers, auditors, courts etc.

If we use service providers to operate our website who process personal data on our behalf as per Art. 28 GDPR, these can also receive your personal data. You will find more detailed information about the use of processors and web services in the overview of the individual processing procedures.

Some functions of our website cannot be offered without the use of cookies or local memory (technically necessary cookies). In contrast, other cookies enable us to carry out various analyses, so that, for example, we are in a position to recognise the browser you are using when you visit us again and transmit various items of information to us (optional cookies). By using cookies we can make our website more user-friendly and effective for you, such as by tracing your use of our website and identifying your preferred settings (e.g. country and language settings). If third parties collect information by using cookies, we will collect this information directly via your browser. Cookies do not cause any damage to your terminal. They cannot run any programs and do not contain any viruses.
